Support us

Do you know what it's like to truly have nothing?
No home, no family, no good reputation, no future?
Many of our clients do.
Approximately 97% of prisoners say they don’t want to re-offend, yet many become stuck in that cycle due to lack of support to make positive changes in their lives. Help us provide that support.

Sobering statistics

  • 48% of adults are reconvicted within one year of being released.*
  • The prison population is projected to rise by a further 3,200 places by March 2023. (Current UK prison population is 83,000.)*
  • The average annual cost of a prison place is £40,843.*
  • The average annual cost for New Foundations to support a client is £348.

Three Ways to Donate

1. Give online

Either monthly or a one-off donation through your Stewardship Services account. Or a gift through your credit card (no need to create an account).

Another option is using PayPal to make a monthly or one-off donation to our work with prison-leavers with a debit or credit card.

2. Bank transfer

By setting up a regular payment or one-off donation from your bank by using our bank details.

Our sort code is 60-01-73 and our account number is 00219988. Please do let us know if you do this, so that we can identify your payment as we receive it, and thank you appropriately!

Please consider completing and sending us a gift aid form if you are a UK Taxpayer – it will make your gift worth 25% more to us at no cost to you.

Please use the button below to download the Gift Aid Form, complete and send it back to us at info@newfoundations.cc.

3. Cheque

By sending us a cheque. Please make cheques payable to New Foundations Community Chaplaincy (address at footer).

Please download either the Donation Form or (if you are a UK taxpayer) the Gift Aid Form below. This will allow us to acknowledge receipt of your gift and, if you are a UK taxpayer, claim back from HMRC an additional 25% on top of your gift (at no additional cost to you.)

Please use the button below to download the Gift Aid Form, complete and send it back to us at info@newfoundations.cc.

Governance and compliance

NFCC is committed to safe practice, high standards of operation and to the well-being of its volunteers, as well as its beneficiaries from the ex-prisoner community.

The trustees of NFCC are particularly mindful that there will be vulnerable adults within the beneficiary group and families. With that in mind, the charity has a robust safeguarding policy, which is reviewed annually. It operates with consistent and clear procedures, maintains a quality assurance protocol and sets strict boundaries, which are clearly defined to both the beneficiaries and to the volunteer mentors.

An extensive due diligence process has been conducted by a third-party organization (https://www.3sc.org/) with expertise in managing service supply chains within the Criminal Justice sector. This thorough evaluation can give all stakeholders confidence that NFCC is a strongly governed, trustworthy and reliable organization. (See Governance Handbook with links to each policy.)

✨ Other ways to help

Prayer support

We have a prayer network and send regular intercessory updates. Please consider signing up. There is an option to be involved in occasional Zoom prayer groups.

Transporting clients

Drivers are sometimes needed to help our service users get to appointments. This might also involve collecting prison leavers on the morning they are released from HMP Winchester.

Share your expertise

We like to call upon local people who can offer occasional specialised support in matters like legal advice, literacy support, counselling and trade apprenticeships.
